3 Reasons NOT to Use Acne Medications

Acne can be a major problem and a fast solution is what most tend to seek. While looking for that, they get caught up in the mess of using various drugs and medications. In the end, most of them end up doing more damage then actually helping.

There are many great holistic and natural treatments to help get rid of acne in as little as 3 days.

If you're thinking of using medications, here are three things to really be careful of:

1. Some medications are too strong

Everyone has different types of skins and many times most medications may be too strong for your skin type. Using a medication that is too strong can lead to irritated skin and can do major damage.

You also run the risk of having major allergic reactions. In this case, the damage far surpasses the benefit of using such medications.

Even if you do decide to use medication, make sure to test a very small amount on a small part of your skin.

2. Long term damage

Many medications can create very bad long-term damage that can be irreversible. Even if you decide to use a medication, make sure to consult your physician.

When using medication, watch for irritated or burning skin. A minor amount of discomfort is normal for the stronger medications, but it should be very short-term!

3. Becoming medication dependent

You want to focus on training your skin to self-manage itself and not become medication dependent. All medications are bad when used long-term and so you run the risk of making your skin too dependent on medication.

You are far better off using natural methods to clear your skin rather than jumping straight to the pharmaceutical line. If you are having acne problem, first try to resolve it using natural methods before you jump to medications...
