If so, you're probably looking for a way to get rid of this annoying red spot. Most of the time, people try to get rid of it by washing it with soap and water. Though this is an alright practice, it doesn't really get the job done. If you pop the zit, then you will have blood coming out of your face for an hour and there will be scab on your face. The best alternative in this situation would definitely be an acne home remedy.

So many people have to deal with this problem everyday, but it is to your benefit that you are doing something about it. The people who have this problem often try to make their own acne home remedy so that they can be done with this nuisance. Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to do this right. Many overlook one of the most important steps of making the pimple dry. Here are some tips that will help you get closer to getting rid of this disturbing acne problem.

First, you should use lemon. Lemons are probably one of the most common ingredients in an acne home remedy that people use. What you need to do is cut the lemon. Once it is cut into pieces, squeeze the juice out of one of the pieces on your zit or wherever you are trying to get rid of acne. Once that is done, do not wipe off the juice. It needs to be on the affected area for anywhere between twelve and twenty four hours. The acid from the lemon juice is what will dry out the pimple on your face.

Another alternative is using toothpaste. Toothpaste has recently become a popular home remedy among acne sufferers. Just like the lemon technique, you apply some toothpaste to your acne or zit and keep it there for twelve to twenty four hours. For this method you should only use white toothpaste. That means no scope green toothpaste! Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, it might be best to just leave it on there for a few minutes. You wouldn't want to do more damage then good.

Hopefully, these couple of tips gave you some insight into a few good acne home remedies. I'm not a doctor and I don't claim to be. This is just advice from an acne sufferer. If you want a permanent, long term solution, it would be best to see a qualified dermatologist.

Adult Acne: A Preview

Acne is the problem of just teenagers, isnt it? Once a person survives the teenage years, they dont have to deal with the embarrassment of acne any longer, right? Well....not exactly.

The sad truth is that about 25% of men and about 50% of women will have acne at some time in their 20s, 30s or 40s.Although there has never been a real cause established, it is believed that most adult acne is caused by the same thing that causes teenage acne...hormonal changes.

A doctor can sometimes prescribe hormonal treatments that will clear a case of adult acne right up. As with teenage acne; adult acne is not caused by diet. Stress has been cited as one possible cause of adult acne but that assertion has never been verified. Treating adult acne is a bit more difficult than treating teenage acne. Adults have the concern of drying out their skin those teenagers dont generally have to contend with.

Adults dont want pimples but they dont want wrinkles, either. A dermatologist should be consulted if the acne is long lasting or severe. There are many treatments that are available to adults who suffer from acne. Most of the effective treatments are only available by prescription, however. Adults should not use over-the-counter acne medications that are intended for the treatment of teenage acne.

These products tend to dry the skin and adults need to be concerned about wrinkling as well as acne.

A case of adult acne is not a happy occurrence to say the very least because those ugly bumps always seem to occur at the most inopportune times and while a teenager may be embarrassed by acne an adult is even more devastated. Fortunately there are treatments and a dermatologist has a lot of weapons in his arsenal to fight adult acne.

This is true for all types of acne such as adult acne, teenage acne and baby acne. Just bear in mind that when going in for treatment, you must first have all the knowledge at hand and only then you must actually opt for a treatment. For Adult Acne Treatment visit Adult Acne Treatments. This is all the more important for pregnant women who are at a risk because some acne medications have chemicals which might result in adverse reaction.

Is Your Baby Affected With Baby Acne

Baby acne is really quite an extremely widespread skin problem among newborn babies. The truth is that, more than 20% of newborn babies get affected by acute baby acne. Baby acne is not so serious skin problem and, with the correct care and treatment, this can be alleviated quite simply and effectively. If the newborn baby is affected by baby acne, it is an excellent thought to appreciate what it is.

The maternal chemicals or hormones that cross the placenta throughout delivery and stimulate the sebaceous glands of the baby cause baby acne. These hormones later on irritate the oil glands of the baby and cause pimple-like bumps all over the baby's skin. Additional reasons behind baby acne can include any medications the baby may be on, or any medications a nursing mother may be taking. Usually baby acne takes place on the baby's face, chin, neck, and back. Baby acne typically seems such as a pimple or whitehead and is surrounded by reddish skin.

Baby acne usually can emerge anytime between the time of delivery and three weeks of age. It has been reported that male babies are more prone to baby acne than female babies; however, it does take place in both sexes. Usually baby acne appears itself by the age of four months. Baby acne never goes away any scars on the baby's skin, though this can be extremely irritating and itchy for the baby. Baby acne can be treated extremely simply. It is advised to the parents to wash quietly the baby's face with a mild soap and water at least once a day. Parents should not scrub the baby's skin and forever pat it dry in place of rubbing. As well parents should certain not to over-wash the skin of the baby over. Parents have to remain in mind that baby acne is not caused by dirt, so over-washing can annoy it more. It is also suggested to the parents to avoid applying any type of lotions or oils to the baby's skin, as these products could possible worsen the baby acne problem.

Moreover, washing anything like cloth toys or any objects that the baby may come in contact with, including the baby's blankets, towels and bed linens in a mild detergent is also important. If baby acne appears severe, some pediatricians will suggest over-the-counter drugs like hydrocortisone lotion, to treat the skin condition. The most effective over-the-counter dealing with baby acne is really the ionic colloidal silver solution. It is greatly safer than other skin care creams and kills the bacteria that can cause baby acne. Also the ionic colloidal silver solution can promote healthy skin growth with natural glow and decrease the uncomfortable itching caused by baby acne.

It is most important that parents do not use any over-the-counter medications for adult or teenage acne problems on the baby's skin. These types of medications are too strong for the baby's tender skin and can even further worsen or irritate the baby acne. The happening of baby acne is not inevitably determined by a family olden time of acne. Baby acne problem is simply a hormonal reaction within the baby's body shortly after birth of the baby's internal chemical reacting to maternal hormones.

Baby Acne.

How scary can it be for parents to see their child with acne? I must say it could be very scary for some especially when not so very well informed and its their first baby or first baby to have Baby Acne. Baby Acne looks like a rash. The pimples will appear like little bumps with the skin around being red. Its not normal to see the child itching because they usually don't itch the baby. If however you see the baby itching, it likely then is not baby Acne.

Baby Acne is not an allergic reaction to anything. It usually presents itself a week or so after the baby is born. They are are usually not something to be worried about and they last for a few weeks. If you however suspect otherwise, simply see your doctor and he/she would simply look at your child to determine if the condition is an allergy issue of baby Acne. It doesn't require any complicated procedure, like taking blood samples or any other samples for that matter. Baby Acne is very distinctive. If it turns out to be baby Acne, just relax as it would simply disappear within a few weeks.

Though there is no proven Medical cause of Baby Acne, some Medical experts have attributed this condition to the transfer of hormones from mother to child. Just as an adult would react to hormonal changes in their bodies, so also does the baby's. The baby's reaction to these hormones therefore results in Baby Acne.

It is very necessary to repeat here that parents should not try to treat this condition. There is absolutely no need for any special creams to clear Baby Acne. It was neither caused because of unclean pores or dirt. Just let it be and it would clear in a short while.

There is no need to be worried about baby Acne. It does not cause scarring, it does not last long, it leaves no hint of its visit and above all, it is not abnormal. As always, watch your child and don't fail to get in touch with your doctor if you see any signs that indicate a departure from the normal state of the condition of the baby's skin. Your doctor would know what it is and how to take care of it.

Have a happy time taking care of those bundles of joy.
