Baby Acne.

How scary can it be for parents to see their child with acne? I must say it could be very scary for some especially when not so very well informed and its their first baby or first baby to have Baby Acne. Baby Acne looks like a rash. The pimples will appear like little bumps with the skin around being red. Its not normal to see the child itching because they usually don't itch the baby. If however you see the baby itching, it likely then is not baby Acne.

Baby Acne is not an allergic reaction to anything. It usually presents itself a week or so after the baby is born. They are are usually not something to be worried about and they last for a few weeks. If you however suspect otherwise, simply see your doctor and he/she would simply look at your child to determine if the condition is an allergy issue of baby Acne. It doesn't require any complicated procedure, like taking blood samples or any other samples for that matter. Baby Acne is very distinctive. If it turns out to be baby Acne, just relax as it would simply disappear within a few weeks.

Though there is no proven Medical cause of Baby Acne, some Medical experts have attributed this condition to the transfer of hormones from mother to child. Just as an adult would react to hormonal changes in their bodies, so also does the baby's. The baby's reaction to these hormones therefore results in Baby Acne.

It is very necessary to repeat here that parents should not try to treat this condition. There is absolutely no need for any special creams to clear Baby Acne. It was neither caused because of unclean pores or dirt. Just let it be and it would clear in a short while.

There is no need to be worried about baby Acne. It does not cause scarring, it does not last long, it leaves no hint of its visit and above all, it is not abnormal. As always, watch your child and don't fail to get in touch with your doctor if you see any signs that indicate a departure from the normal state of the condition of the baby's skin. Your doctor would know what it is and how to take care of it.

Have a happy time taking care of those bundles of joy.
